Ellen DeGeneres Makes Jokes About Being ‘Kicked Out Of Show Business’ At Standup Show
Ellen DeGeneres is reflecting on the end of her talk show and the workplace controversy that preceded it. The comedian addressed about the situation with humor during the first night of her new standup tour in West Hollywood, Calif., on April 24, according to Rolling Stone. She said to the crowd, per the outlet, “What else can I tell you? Oh yeah, I got kicked out of show business. There’s no mean people in show business.” She continued in part, “The ‘be kind’ girl wasn’t kind. I became this one-dimensional character who gave stuff away and danced up steps.”
